Water Authority officials demonstrate PFAS removal near MacArthur Airport

According to a recent study, at least 45% of the nation’s tap water contains PFAS, which was discovered in groundwater and soil at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma. The airport earlier this year was designated a Superfund site. Suffolk County Water Authority officials recently demonstrated PFAS removal near the airport. NewsdayTV’s Shari Einhorn reports.
