Jon Kaiman, the new Long Island Sandy recovery chief for Long Island, will be taking questions from Newsday readers in a live chat at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Kaiman, the former North Hempstead Town supervisor and the new chairman of the Nassau Interim Finance Authority, is the liaison between Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and Sandy-affected areas of Long Island, and will coordinate state support for communities and homeowners under the state’s New York Rising program.
