People with overdue Village of Manorhaven parking tickets can now take advantage of a special amnesty program to pay a portion of their fines.

The Justice Court Amnesty and Compliance Project 2014, established by the Manorhaven village board of trustees, grants a reduction in fines for those with overdue parking tickets dated from Jan. 1, 2005. through Dec. 15, 2013.

People with overdue Village of Manorhaven parking tickets can now take advantage of a special amnesty program to pay a portion of their fines.

The Justice Court Amnesty and Compliance Project 2014, established by the Manorhaven village board of trustees, grants a reduction in fines for those with overdue parking tickets dated from Jan. 1, 2005. through Dec. 15, 2013.

The program, which begins in February, allows for a 40 percent reduction in fines for those who pay their delinquent tickets between Feb. 1, 2014, and March 31, 2014, a 30 percent reduction for those who pay their overdue fines in the month of April, and a 20 percent reduction for those who pay their overdue fines in May.

The village said a $10 administration fee will apply to each ticket paid under the reduction program.
