LI weather: Mostly sunny, bit cooler than normal
Long Island looks to enjoy some beautiful, if a bit cool, weather Saturday while the next first few days are expected to be sunny and a little warmer. And except for a chance of showers Monday night, there's nary a raindrop in the forecast, at least through Friday.
The National Weather Service on Friday evening was predicting mostly sunny skies on Saturday with a high temperature of around 71 degrees, which would be 4 degrees below normal for the date in Islip. A northeast wind Saturday of 6 to 8 mph will shift to coming out of the south in the afternoon.

Saturday night will be mostly clear with a low temperature of about 68 degrees, according to the weather service.
Sunday is expected to be more summerlike with sunny skies and a high temperature near 82 degrees.
The new workweek should start Monday with mostly sunny weather. In fact, every day through Friday is expected to be sunny.
Workweek temperatures will range from 83 degrees on Monday to about 75 degrees on Friday, the weather service said.
