Erik Boland reports on a few notes from the Yankees' visit to the White House to meet President Barack Obama:

-- The Yankees gave President Obama a No. 27 jersey, for the 27 world championships the franchise has won.

-- The room was packed with politicians, many from New York – Reps. Charles Rangel and Peter King to name two – turned Bleacher Creatures, complete with two “Hip Hip Jorge!” chants from the gallery before the vice president and president entered the room.

-- The ceremony itself, which took place in the East Room, complete with the historic 1796 Gilbert Stuart painting of George Washington looking over Obama’s left shoulder, lasted about 10 minutes.
