Somewhere in New Jersey, a hotel room is empty. It was supposed to belong to NFL kicker Neil Rackers tonight as he visited the area and met with the Jets tomorrow, according to reports. Instead, Rackers -- who became expendable in Arizona after the Cards signed former Jet Jay Feely -- never made it out of Houston.

Rackers signed a two-year contract with the Texans this evening, ESPN is reporting.
