Looks like the Patriots aren't taking Rex Ryan's advice to rest Rob Gronkowski for another week.

In a text message distributed to several media outlets Friday morning, Gronkowski's agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed the Patriots tight end is a go for Week 7.

"Rob has now been cleared by all his doctors to play Sunday in the Jets game," Rosenhaus wrote.

The news ends a long mini-saga involving Gronkowski, who despite looking good in practice has yet to play in a game this season.

The play-making tight end has undergone four separate surgeries since last November on his left forearm and also underwent back surgery in June.

In typical Bill Belichick fashion, the Patriots coach refused to confirm the news when asked about Gronkowski's status during his Friday morning press conference, according to the Boston Globe. Instead, Belichick said the team would release its injury report later this afternoon.
