Prices houses sold for by bedroom in Nassau, Suffolk

Newsday analyzed data reported by OneKey MLS on nearly 1,100 single-family homes sold in February.
Across the Island, homebuyers paid $202,252 more for a three-bed home than a two-bed home, data showed. The jump from three bedrooms to four was less stark at $135,085, but the biggest price difference was between four and five beds at $244,933.
In Nassau, the biggest jump in average closing price was from four bedrooms to five, rising $236,537 from $964,394 to over $1.2 million. Meanwhile, the biggest price jump in Suffolk was between three and four beds, rising $270,368.
