Billy Joel's girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, pregnant with couple's 1st child

Billy Joel will soon be singing “Lullaby” to a new baby.

Joel confirmed Tuesday afternoon that he and his longtime girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, are expecting their first child this summer.

A spokeswoman for Joel said that the couple planned to keep “any further details of her pregnancy under wraps until their new addition makes an official debut.” In recent weeks, Roderick, 33, has reportedly been staying close to their Centre Island home to try to keep the pregnancy secret.

Joel, 65, and Roderick, a former senior risk officer for Morgan Stanley in Garden City and an accomplished equestrian, have been dating since 2009, after meeting in a Huntington restaurant and becoming friends.

In addition to his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden, where he will celebrate his record-breaking 65th career show in July, Joel will be rocking stadiums throughout the summer, including Fenway Park in Boston and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. He is also set to headline the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in June.

The baby will be Roderick’s first child and Joel’s second. Joel’s daughter with ex-wife Christie Brinkley is 29-year-old singer-songwriter Alexa Ray Joel.

Radar Online first reported the pregnancy, adding that the couple has already chosen the name Madison for the girl. However, a source close to Joel said that will not be the name.
