A pair of BJ's Wholesale Club employees were arrested and charged with grand larceny after they allegedly made phony returns totaling six figures.
Marquis Johnson, 31, of Westbury, and Ranaldo Davis, 19, of Rosedale, Queens, worked together to document fraudulent returns worth about $175,000 at the BJ’s on Green Acres Road South in Valley Stream, where they were employed, the Nassau County Police Department said in a news release. The returns occurred between Jan. 13 and April 12.
Johnson and Davis on Tuesday were charged with second-degree grand larceny and first degree falsifying business records, according to the release. Both men are scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
BJ’s did not immediately return an emailed request for comment Tuesday evening.
