Denise M. Bonilla covers the Town of Babylon, including the villages of Amityville, Babylon and Lindenhurst. She has been a staff writer at Newsday since 2003 and has covered a variety of beats, including crime and courts, the Town of Hempstead, immigration and investigations. Prior to joining Newsday, Bonilla worked as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, the Buffalo News and as a freelance writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland Tribune, San Francisco Business Times and East Bay Monthly.
