When you upload videos to YouTube, there are times when you want to block out the faces, whether it is for sensitivity, privacy or legal rights reasons. The website has added a tool that makes this job very simple.

1. Go to youtube.com. You must have an account to upload videos to the site. Establishing an account is free. Some of the more popular file formats that YouTube accepts are WebM, 3GPP, MOV, MPEG4, AVI, MPEGPS, WMV and FLV. Log into your account, click Upload on the top of the page and upload your file.

2. Click the link to your uploaded video. Click the Edit button on the upper left and then the Enhancements button. A page with two windows opens, one for the original video and a preview window for edits. Click Additional features below the left window, then the Apply button beneath Blur All Faces.

3. The tool uses facial recognition software, so all faces that are oriented forward will blur -- you can't blur just some faces. To keep the results, click Save As on the top right. Warning: Once you save your video with blurred faces, the uploaded video can't be reverted to its original form.
