The 2007-2008 Honda Fit hatchback was part of a June 28th, 2013 recall that affected more than 143,000 customers in the US. The vehicles are being recalled due to a power window failure that allows rain and other liquid to enter the driver's side window and cause electrical problems in the switch. Honda is recalling 143,083 model-year 2007-08 versions of the Fit hatchback due to a problem with the power window switch, according to Honda.

In the affected vehicles, rain or other liquid could enter the driver's side window and cause electrical problems in the switch. This could lead it to overheat, potentially causing a fire."No crashes or injuries have been reported related to this issue. Honda is advising customers to park affected Fit vehicles outside until the power window master switch has been inspected," the automaker said in a statement.

Honda will begin notifying owners in mid-July. Owners can call Honda at (800) 999-1009, option 4, or go to www.recalls.honda.com for more info.
