Melanie Griffith won't watch daughter Dakota Johnson in 'Fifty Shades' film

When Dakota Johnson -- the actress daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith -- appears in "Fifty Shades of Grey" in February, her mother won't be in the audience.

"I have not seen 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' " Griffith, 56, told the film site Indiewire.com. "I don't think I'm going to see it . . . [Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going. I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain," she said, referring to a locale in the adaptation of the sadomasochistic novel. "I did go in there and check it out."

Griffith remains a proud mom of the 24-year-old, however, saying she's scheduled to go Friday "to see my daughter filming another movie on Pantelleria [in Sicily]. She just did a movie with Johnny Depp ["Black Mass"]. She's amazing -- so good. It's just so beautiful to see her doing this."
