'Saturday Night Live!' combines 'The Hobbit,' 'The Office' to show Bilbo's life after big adventure
Fans of "The Office" and tales from Middle-earth, rejoice.
Martin Freeman — Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" — hosted "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, and he and the "SNL" cast combined the two worlds for a look at what Bilbo's life would be like after his big adventure.
In the sketch, Bilbo and the elf Tauriel (Kate McKinnon) play tricks on Gollum (Tarran Killam). Gandalf (Bobby Moynihan) is the wise-cracking, inappropriate boss.
And the whole thing ends when giant spiders "breach the wall" and the whole staff has to run into the parking lot to fight them.
