We met Disney's "Dog With A Blog" star G. Hannelius when she was visiting the Nintendo Store in Rockefeller Center recently.

What made you want to act?

Gosh, I don't know. I just really, really liked it. I started doing plays when I was in Maine. Just plays in school and at the children's theater. And I did "Madeline," where I got to sing and act. So I just knew I really, really liked it.

What is your favorite thing about being an actress?

I have to say having new characters. I think I played a bunch of different characters on Disney. Have you guys seen Dakota Condor on "Sonny with a Chance"? She was really evil. And then Jo Keener on "Good Luck Charlie," kind of a bully, but she was sweet in a way and then Avery [on "Dog With a Blog"] who's like a total goody two shoes. So lots of different characters to explore.

Do you think of ever doing something else besides acting or singing? Like any sports or hobbies?

I did horseback riding for a while before the show started, and I loved that. I played soccer and did fencing. I did that for awhile before I started the show, and I play tennis and I also juggle on stilts and I do contortionism. I take circus classes. That's kind of fun.

Do you ever get homesick?

Yeah, I think I do. I had a lot of friends there and my school was there. So when I got here for the first time I definitely missed everybody. But I was really lucky because my best friend from Maine actually ended up moving out to San Francisco, which is only an hour flight away. So that's much better than all the way in Maine. So I get to see her lots.

What's new for you?

Actually we just started season 3 of "Dog With a Blog." So that's crazy. I'm so excited. So that's what I'll be working on. I won't have a lot of time otherwise.

How did you get interested in acting?

It was because I started doing plays when I was in Maine and taking acting lessons. I guess just because I was interested at that age and wanted to try it out. And why not start young?

Are you home-schooled or do you go to public school when you're working on the set?

I'm actually home-schooled. I did go to regular school when I was in Maine until 4th grade. But now I'm home-schooled. All the kids on set except Francesca [Capaldi] are home schooled and we just go on set and at home.

What's the dog's real name and who is his trainer?

His real name is Mick, like Mickey Mouse, and his owner is Steve Solomon and he's an amazing guy. Mick was a rescue dog and he was malnourished and he kind of nursed him back to health and made him into this lovable dog. Steve is an amazing guy.

Do you have any siblings?

No, I'm an only child.

What celebrity from another Disney show are you closest with?

I would say Leo Howard from "Kickin' It." I actually started out doing Leo's "Little Big Show" with him. So we're really like brother and sister. I've known him for a long time. So I would have to say closest to him.

Are there any shows you wish you could be on?

I love "Pretty Little Liars." I would love to be in that show.

Do you think you'll ever go to college?

Yes. I have my heart set on that for sure. And probably something to do with acting or music. I love those.

Do you enjoy working with a dog?

It's so fun. It definitely can be difficult at times. He's a real dog and he gets distracted easily. But overall he's so sweet. He does all the tricks and we all have been kind of trainers and training. We taught him how to sit and shake hands and commando crawl. It's really fun.

Do you want to act when you get older?

I'm only 15 so I can't say like one definite thing I'm going to do for the rest of my life. I have so many interests. But right now I'm having a fun time doing it and I love it and it brings great things like getting to be here and meeting you guys.
