A much-loved home in East Northport is on the market for the first time in four decades for $1.49 million. There is an offer currently pending on the house. Taxes are $19,230.

The four-bed, three-bath house is located on Elman Place, with a standout cedar and stone facade. The house totals 3,700 square feet, sitting on a 0.87-acre lot. The property is in the Elwood Union Free School District.

"[The homeowners] have lovingly cared for it over the years, adding some additions to it and always keeping it fresh," said listing agent Diane Leyden, of Laffey Real Estate.

The house was built in 1985. Over the years, the sellers have made additions around the property including a saltwater pool with a waterfall, a 1,200-square-foot deck and a car lift in the three-space garage. There is also a cabana with outdoor refrigeration and a bocce court in the backyard.

"It's like a little, private country club," Leyden said.

Other notable features include central air cooling, a first-floor bedroom and radiant heating in the primary bathroom. The residence features warm woods and browns in its coloring over the more modern, cool-toned blue and grey palette of today's interior design trends, said Leyden.
