AdvantageCare Physicians has opened a new medical office offering primary and specialty care in Uniondale.

The 25,155-square-foot facility at 70 Charles Lindbergh Blvd. will offer primary care and pediatrics as well as dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology including endoscopic procedures, optometry and podiatry services.

"Our new facility is designed to continue building upon our commitment to excellent health care services in Long Island," Dr. Navarra Rodriguez, chief medical officer of AdvantageCare, said in a statement. "We are excited to continue to expand care options in the Uniondale community."

The new office, which opened earlier this month, includes 12 primary care exam rooms, 13 specialty care rooms, six pediatric care rooms and four eye care exam rooms. It replaces a nearby AdvantageCare office in Hempstead that has since closed.

AdvantageCare is the medical group practice of the not-for-profit insurer EmblemHealth, with health care offices in New York City and on Long Island. In addition to doctors and nurses, the practices include social workers, nutritionists, behavioral health specialists and other health care workers.

On the Island, it has locations at 300 Bay Shore Rd. in North Babylon, 1055 Stewart Ave. in Bethpage, 1991 Marcus Ave. in Lake Success, 640 Hawkins Ave. in Lake Ronkonkoma and 260 W. Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream.
