A question-and-answer session on the Elmont redevelopment proposal seen through the eyes of the New York Cosmos soccer team representatives will be Thursday night at Sewanhaka High School.

The 7 p.m. meeting is sponsored by the Elmont and Floral Park-Bellerose school districts.

The Cosmos have proposed a $400 million, privately funded, 25,000-seat stadium at Belmont Park.

Besides the stadium, there are plans for a hotel, retail shopping, community all-turf parks and restaurants. The Cosmos plan says it will create more than 3,000 new jobs.

To participate in the forum, attendees can submit questions at tables set up the school; questions will be taken until 6:50 p.m.

The Cosmos' plan is competing with two other proposals.
