More new high-end stores coming to Roosevelt Field
More new high-end retailers are coming to Roosevelt Field as part of a renovation and expansion project of the mall.
The retailers, the majority of which are opening their first locations on Long Island, will be located in a new, two-level retail wing at the Garden City mall that will lead to a new Neiman Marcus store, mall owner Simon Property Group announced Wednesday.
Since September 2013, Roosevelt Field has been undergoing a $200 million face-lift that will add up to 20 high-end retailers to the new wing, including Long Island's first Neiman Marcus, expected to open in February 2016.
Earlier this week, Kate Spade New York, selling handbags, shoes, eyewear, stationery and home accessories, opened in the new Roosevelt Field luxury wing its newest, 2,000-square-foot store on Long Island.
Some of the coming stores will open this fall; the rest are slated for early 2016.
Stores opening this month include Jo Malone London, a seller of bath and body creams, lotions and oils, candles, sprays and hand wash. The 891-square-foot store will be its first stand-alone Long Island boutique.
Another store opening this month is The Frye Company, seller of men's and women's shoes and boots, handbags, wallets, backpacks and accessories. The 3,000-square-foot store is Frye's first Long Island location.
Furla, a seller of leather goods and accessories featuring Italian methods of art and design, will have its first location on Long Island with the opening this month of its 1,200-square-foot space in the new mall wing.
Also this month, Montblanc, seller of high-end writing instruments and accessories, luxury leather goods and belts, jewelry, fragrance, eyewear and watches, will move from its current location in the mall to a 1,127-square-foot boutique.
Opening in November will be Jonathan Adler, a 3,023-square-foot home decor and design store; JACHS New York, a seller of men's and women's apparel, footwear, handbags and accessories, whose first Long Island location will occupy 755 square feet of space; and Allen Edmonds, a seller of men's dress and casual shoes, which will open its first mall location on Long Island with a 1,043-square-foot store at Roosevelt Field.
In addition, Le Pain Quotidien, a European-style cafe chain that serves bakery goods, salads, handmade breads and organic drinks, will open its first location at the mall in November.
