The Chevy Chase, Maryland-based company announced Monday that it plans to add more than 300 people this year to its Woodbury office, where the insurer employs close to 3,000. The company is hiring for its management development program as well as for positions in liability and no-fault claims, sales, customer service and auto damage.

It also plans to hire more than 40 people for its legal offices in Hicksville, Melville and Westbury.

"We are increasing hiring because we continue to grow in New York," said John Pham, regional vice president of Geico's Woodbury office.
