Kate Spade New York will open a store in Roosevelt Field mall's new Neiman Marcus luxury wing next week.

The 2,000-square-foot store will be the fashion retailer's fourth location on Long Island; the others Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station and Tanger Outlets in Deer Park and Riverhead. The store will host a grand opening on Tuesday, kicking off at 10 a.m.

Since September 2013 Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City has been undergoing a $200 million face-lift that will add up to 20 high-end retailers to the new wing, including Long Island's first Neiman Marcus, expected to open in February 2016.

Before opening day, Kate Spade has put an interactive touch-screen wall in front of the new store. The wall provides product recommendations and suggested sights to see, books to read and music to listen to based on each shopper's own "New York persona," determined by criteria the person enters. Shoppers are sent tailored recommendations via email and can shop for them on the retailer's website.

Kate Spade sells handbags, clothing, jewelry, fashion accessories, fragrances, eyewear, shoes, swimwear, home decor and desk accessories. The retailer has more than 140 stores across the United States and more than 175 shops internationally.
