LI rapper inks deal with French firm
Central Islip rapper Keith Murray is back in business with a new album -- and a new deal to endorse his own line of French-made acoustic headphones, reports rapweekly.com.
Murray, who calls his home turf "Strong Island," disclosed the headphones deal as he prepares to release his eighth studio album, titled "The Beauty of It All."
"In addition to the new LP, Murray has also recently entered into a business partnership with Paris, France-based 3headz," the rap music business website says, "where he will follow in the footsteps of luminaries like Dr. Dre and Jay-Z by endorsing his very own line of state-of-the-art headphones."
Murray's rap career, interrupted by a 3-year prison term, has been chronicled over the years by Newsday arts critic Rafer Guzman.
The rapweekly.com report says, "While holed up in the lab putting the final touches on his soon-to-be-released eighth studio collection, The Beauty of It All, Central Islip, Long Island's own prodigal son, Keith Murray, returns with his brand new lead entry, 'Strange Encounters.' "
