Alan Heitner of Levittown has been named chief financial officer at Community Development Corporation of Long Island, a HUD-certified agency serving housing and economic hopes of individuals and families, in Centereach. He was chief financial officer at Allen Health Care Services in Forest Hills.

Christopher M. Adamo of Miller Place has been promoted from vice president of culinary operations to vice president of hospitality at Jefferson's Ferry Lifecare Retirement Community, a continuing-care facility in South Setauket.

Helen Atkinson Barnes of Sag Harbor has been promoted from educator to education program manager at The Retreat, a safe haven for victims of domestic violence, in East Hampton.
