Dr. Christine Brown of Hicksville has been appointed chief medical officer of both The Charles Evans Center and ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities) in Bethpage. She directed clinical education and professional development at the Long Island FQHC New Cassel/Westbury Family Health Center in Westbury.

Michele A. Berti of Smithtown has joined Jefferson’s Ferry Lifecare Retirement Community as director of human resources. She was assistant director of human resources for United Cerebral Palsy in Hauppauge.

Christopher Ferreri of Melville has been appointed chief operating officer of The Osborn, a continuing care retirement community in Rye. He was vice president and administrator of Jewish Home Lifecare Sarah Neuman Center in Mamaroneck.

Gary Pollakusky of Rocky Point, managing partner at Media Barrel in Rocky Point, has been appointed to the boards of the Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency and the Brookhaven Local Development Corp., both in Farmingville.
