Long Island hires and promotions: Neil Creedon, Avison Young

COMMERCIALREAL ESTATE

Neil Creedon of Massapequa has been hired as a principal at Avison Young’s Long Island operations in Melville. He was a senior executive director at Colliers International in Jericho.

Russell G. Matthews of Manhasset has been hired as president and chief executive at Castagna Realty Company Inc. in Manhasset. He was executive vice president and principal of the Albanese Organization in Garden City.

BOARDS

Charles P. Ferraro of Islip, founding principal of Bayberry Capital Group in Bay Shore, has been appointed to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation board of trustees in West Islip.

EAC Network in Hempstead has named two directors to its board.

Tracy Pfaff Smith of Huntington, executive director of the Huntington Historical Society, has been appointed president of the board of directors of the Junior League of Long Island in Roslyn.

LAW

Kenneth M. Abell of Manhasset has been hired as a partner and chair of health/white collar defense at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf & Carone in Lake Success. He was chief of health care fraud for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn.

Jensen Ambachen of East Meadow, of counsel to the condo/ co-op group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in East Meadow, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Queens & Bronx Building Association in Bayside.

EDUCATION

Madelaine Hackett of Huntington has been hired as assistant principal of in-district programs at Barry Tech Nassau BOCES in Westbury. She was assistant principal at The Urban Assembly’s Maker Academy in Manhattan.

Kathleen Byington of Stony Brook has been hired as senior vice president for finance and administration at Stony Brook University. She was associate vice president for business operations at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

ENGINEERING

Alexandra Russo of Medford has been hired as a project engineer at Schneider Engineering in Ronkonkoma. She is a recent graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in upstate Troy.
