Long Island hires and promotions: Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Imran Wahedna of Smithtown, a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist, neuromuscular specialist and researcher, has joined the Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group, working at the Woodbury and Bohemia offices. He was consultant neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

BANKING

Michael S. Bazik of Sayville has been hired as a marketing representative at Gold Coast Bank in Islandia. He was marketing director and business development director at Great American Restoration in Long Island City.

ACCOUNTING

Lynn Giugliano of Kings Park, account manager at Fuller Lowenberg & Co. in Hauppauge, has been promoted to partner.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Stephen Matteo of Smithtown has been promoted to publicity director of Media Connect, the book publishing division at Finn Partners, a public relations firm in Manhattan. He was publicity manager.

LAW

Jennifer Appel of Dix Hills has joined the real estate and land use and zoning practice groups at Certilman Balin in Hauppauge as a partner. She was general counsel and program adviser for the Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. in Hauppauge.
