New positions at Nassau hospitals
North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System announced two appointments.
Dr. Jeremy Boal, left, has been named chief medical officer. The Manhattan resident is the former medical director of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Richard Schwarz, center, has been named medical director of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, succeeding Boal. Schwarz of Cold Spring Harbor was medical director at the North Shore Medical Group in Huntington.
The Long Island Jewish Medical Center is a 452-bed adult tertiary-care, teaching hospital in New Hyde Park.
The Rev. Karen Jones, right, has been appointed director of pastoral care and education at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. She most recently served as director of field education at Union Theological Seminary in Manhattan overseeing the field education program for the master of divinity degree program. She is an East Elmhurst resident.
