APPOINTMENTS

Robert J. Frey has joined the board of directors at Empire National Bank in Islandia. He is president and chief executive of Harbor Financial Management in Port Jefferson. The Port Jefferson resident also is a research professor at Stony Brook University's department of applied mathematics and statistics.

The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce announced three new directors. Mark Fogel is vice president of human resources and administration at Leviton Manufacturing in Melville and lives in Jericho. Huntington resident Genevieve Sloup is owner of RSVP Events in Huntington. Thomas Kehoe is president of Seaflight Logistics in Northport, where he is also a resident.

Lynn Schaefer has been elected president of the neuropsychology division of the New York State Psychological Association. The Syosset resident is a clinical neuropsychologist and director of neuropsychology at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.

Greg Zucker, a litigation partner at the Uniondale law firm of Westerman Ball Ederer Miller & Sharfstein, has been appointed chairman of the litigation committee for the Nassau County Bar Association. He is an East Hills resident.


EDUCATION

Richard Simon has been named superintendent of West Islip Public Schools. The Roslyn resident was assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District.

Lois Etzel as been promoted to assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for the Riverhead Central School District. The Yaphank resident was K-12 science director for the district.

Patricia Chute has joined New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury as dean of the school of health professions. The New Rochelle resident was dean of the school of health and natural sciences at Mercy College.


LAW

Randy S. Gidseg has joined the Melville-based firm of Littler Mendelson as shareholder. The Melville resident was a partner at Nixon Peabody.

The Bohemia law firm of Campolo, Middleton & Associates announced the addition of a partner and the new name of its firm - Campolo, Middleton & McCormick. Kings Park resident Patrick McCormick has joined the firm as partner. He was a partner at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in East Meadow.

Jay Buchberg has been promoted to director of engineering for the high-tech sector at Underwriters Laboratories in Melville. The Plainview resident was promoted from North American industry lead for power and controls.

Suzanne Hildebrandt has been promoted to relocation director at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty from relocation coordinator. Hildebrandt is an East Northport resident.

Margaret Minichini has been named executive director at The Amsterdam at Harborside, a Port Washington senior living community scheduled to open this fall. The Manhasset resident was marketing director Before a brief break in service.
