Airoom was recently named a winner of Qualified Remodeler’s Master Design Awards for 2015. The award winning bathroom design highlights modern luxury and innovative thinking and technology.
One of the most intriguing features, the breakfast bar, is creatively placed between the master bedroom and bath, and features a coffee station and hidden refrigerator. Truly on the cutting edge of design and function, this feature was key in winning the award as it showcased innovation, one of the biggest focuses of this award.
“The family felt there wasn’t enough natural light or storage in their narrow, awkwardly shaped master bath,” said Design Department Manager Calina Gobis. “Working in the confines of their space truly pushed our designers and brought about this great design.”
In order to add space, existing ceiling joints were demolished and a barrel ceiling was redesigned above a new shower, turning the enclosure into a spa-like retreat. Then, a skylight was added in the vaulted ceiling to add tile and space.
“We’re proud of all of our designs,” said Airoom CEO Michael Klein, “but this one truly pushes the limits of design. Anytime there’s a tight space, it forces us to be different, be better.
“Seeing this master bath go from what it was, tight and dark and awkwardly shaped, to what it is now, is truly stunning. It’s no surprise that this design and remodel won this year’s Master Design Awards.”
The Qualified Remodeler Master Design Award is Airoom’s second big award win of the year. Earlier this year, Airoom had been named Best Residential Architect of 2015 by Build Magazine.
