AngelHack Founder and CEO, Sabeen Ali is honored to announce that she will be delivering the commencement speech to University of San Francisco (USF) School of Management graduates on Saturday May 21st, 2016.
Ali, CEO of female-owned, female-majority tech company, and leader in the global hackathon space since 2011 will address 468 students receiving professional undergraduate degrees from the School of Management and 242 students receiving graduate degrees from the Masagung Graduate School of Management. USF; a tier one National University named by U.S News & World Report also ranks in the top 20 on Forbes’ list of most entrepreneurial universities of 2015.
“As a Jesuit institution, USF aspires to teach our students that their gifts and talents should be developed for the good of the entire human family,” said USF President Paul J. Fitzgerald, S.J. “Ms. Ali has a powerful message of Jesuit education to share with our newest graduates: to seek a purpose greater than themselves and to live life without limitations. We look forward to welcoming her back to campus.”
Ali said, “USF has taught me that if you have a vision then the only thing keeping you from accomplishing it is yourself.” As a USF Alumna, “I want to teach people that they can make a profit in business and still do good at the same time,” Sabeen says. “I really do believe anyone has the ability to change the world for the better regardless of the industry they work in, you just have to have an insatiable desire to create change.”
