Charming Cypress Wood Chapel Is Set Among Rows Of Grapevines In Rose Hill, N.C., At The Home Of The Largest Winery In The South
Rose Hill, North Carolina (PRWEB) October 21, 2015
According to Winery Weddings Magazine, vineyard weddings are growing in popularity on the East Coast of the U.S. Duplin Winery of Rose Hill, N.C., the largest winery in the South, has opened a wedding chapel among its picturesque vineyards. The 6,800 square foot wedding chapel is set among beautiful shade trees and offers spectacular views of the Duplin vineyards. In this unique setting, 4,000 square feet of event space is available under dramatic 16-foot beamed ceilings. In addition, there is a special bridal room and a catering kitchen.
Duplin Winery's wedding chapel can accommodate approximately 500 guests for wedding ceremonies, approximately 350 guests for sit-down dining (using indoor and outdoor dining areas), and approximately 600 guests for receptions that don't require seating. Wedding ceremonies can be performed inside the chapel or outside in the vineyards with receptions following in the chapel facility. Destination weddings at the winery are available, as ample lodging is nearby.
More than 100,000 people tour the award-winning Duplin Winery each year. Known for producing “cool, sweet & easy” sipping wines, the winery's facilities have a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Pre-wedding activities, including Duplin's popular wine tasting tours, are available for the bridal party. Wedding guests can also book the winery's on-site restaurant, The Bistro, for private parties.
“We're proud to offer one of the most beautiful settings in the coastal plain of North Carolina for couples to come together on one of the most important days of their lives,” said Jonathan Fussell, president of Duplin Wine Family and head of the winery's marketing division. “Winery weddings are growing in popularity, so we wanted to provide a venue that offered indoor amenities as well as the beauty of the vineyards. As a family operation, it was especially important to create an atmosphere that would be as beautiful as the coming together of two people to establish a new family on their wedding day.”
Duplin Winery is the largest wine production facility on the East Coast. Both Dave Fussell, Jr., who serves as president and CEO of Duplin Winery, and Jonathan Fussell are extremely involved in the day-to-day operation of the winery, leading tours and tastings, and having a hand in the wine-making process.
“Recently the popular wedding site, TheKnot.com, surveyed 16,000 brides and learned that December is the most popular month to get engaged,” says Jonathan Fussell. “After the engagement comes planning and selecting the site for the wedding. We hope that couples looking for an extraordinarily lovely setting will select Duplin Winery for their wedding. We have a relaxed, friendly and efficient staff who'll work hard to make everything just right. We promise to do our very best so that your big day is just as wonderful as you envision.”
