Greenberg Traurig, LLP New York Shareholder Masahiro Noda and Boston Shareholder Chinh H. Pham will speak at the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Annual Convention, Nov. 5-8, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Greenberg Traurig is also an event sponsor.

On Friday, Nov. 6, from 2:00 - 3:15 p.m., Noda will moderate the session “Innovative or Disruptive? IP & Legal Challenges of Cutting-Edge Technologies,” and Pham will serve as a panelist. The panel will address the various legal challenges that may arise from the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) and 3D printing technologies.

Noda is involved in various aspects of intellectual property policing, protection, and enforcement, and has wide-ranging experience in various domestic and global intellectual property matters. He also regularly handles the negotiation of licenses, contract disputes, acquisitions and divestitures, and due diligence reviews. Noda has developed global anti-counterfeiting enforcement programs, successfully implementing strategies combining various IP claims and equitable remedies to obtain seizure orders, asset restraints, and other forms of equitable relief against domestic and foreign companies. He is co-chair of NAPABA’s Trademark Sub-Committee.

Pham is co-leader of Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Practice, chair of the firm’s Nanotechnology Practice, and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston. He is actively involved with NAPABA and other affinity law groups, and he is regularly invited to speak at and participate in CLE programs and conferences. He served as an executive officer and board member of the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts from 2001 to 2005. He is also a member of the Boston Bar Association Council and is actively involved in the Boston business and legal communities. Pham currently serves as an Attorney-in-Residence at Harvard Innovation Lab, as a member of the Board of Overseers at the Boston Museum of Science, and as a company mentor for a number of technology accelerator programs, including MassDiGI, MassChallenge, and Northeastern Idea.
