Praeclarus Press Presents Healing Birth Trauma, A Two-Day Online Web Conference for Birth and Behavioral Health Professionals with Leading Experts
Praeclarus Press has partnered with the Simkin Center and PATTCh to bring the experts to you with our first two-day online web conference, Healing Birth Trauma. Tailored to professionals in the birth and behaviorial healthcare fields, this conference will explore ways to best help patients and clients heal the effects of trauma resulting from negative or traumatic birth experiences.

Praeclarus Press brings a host of experts in a two-day online web conference. With partners the Simkin Center from Bastyr University and Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth (PATTCh), the leading voices in the field come together to share more about the phenomenon of birth trauma, and how to best help women and families affected by it.
In this two-day online web conference, experts will show how to help one's clients prevent, recognize and heal the effects of birth trauma. Discover the significance, context and diagnosis of this least understood outcome for a growing number of childbearing families, while becoming skilled at preventing and responding to events that lead to birth trauma. Attendees will spend time examining the impact of birth trauma on parents, caregivers and infants, as well as investigating risk factors, treatments, and gain awareness of secondary trauma and fostering post-traumatic growth and resilience.
The conference is scheduled for November 12-13, 2015 from 8:30 am - 12:15 pm (Pacific). Hosted by Annie Kennedy, the conference speakers include: Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Penny Simkin, Kathy McGrath, Suzanne Swanson, and Leslie Butterfield.
