41°Good Morning

Issue 58 of The Bridge newsletter from Rigaku concentrates on materials science and is available from the company’s global website

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (PRWEB) April 23, 2018

The latest edition of The Bridge, the materials science newsletter from Rigaku Corporation, is now available online on the company’s global website. The Bridge presents current news and analysis techniques related to the latest developments in X-ray based materials science, including news reports, articles and scientific papers.

The April 2018 edition of The Bridge contains three Rigaku Journal articles - The first - Part X in a series exploring single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) – explores expression of proteins for X-ray analysis. Another discusses principles and applications of multilayer mirror optics for X-ray diffraction, while the final article covers the Micro-Z ULS wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) sulfur analyzer for ultra-low sulfur analysis by the D2622 method.

An overview of the newly introduced SmartLab multi-purpose X-ray diffractometer system is also presented. A versatile automated XRD system, the newest SmartLab diffractometer offers continued refinement of the ease-of-use features that enabled the original SmartLab diffractometer to receive the coveted R&D 100 Award, such as automatic alignment, component recognition, Cross Beam Optics and a 2D detector.

Special reports are included on analytica '18 and the BCA Spring '18 events featuring user meetings and product demonstrations. Application papers are also presented for energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF), Raman spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCX).

The newsletter also includes a book review, a compilation of recently published scientific papers related to material analysis and a schedule of upcoming conferences and workshops.
