Bangles, bracelets and baubles were in such high demand at The Jewelry Gallery of Oyster Bay that a second location recently opened, in Huntington village, according to a manager in the family business.

“We were doing really well in Oyster Bay and we had a lot of clients. And we saw a good opportunity to be open in Huntington village,” said store manager Chelsea Ott, daughter of founder and coin industry veteran Ira Einhorn.

The Huntington store, which opened in a 3,200-square-foot space at 345 New York Ave. in September, sells fine jewelry and custom bridal and fashion jewelry.

Einhorn opened The Jewelry Gallery of Oyster Bay’s first location at 90 South St. in Oyster Bay in 2016.

He also owns the Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay, which started in 1999 and buys coins, jewelry and collectibles from customers at four locations, including stores in Levittown, Lynbrook and Plainview.

You might be familiar with the coin chain’s pitchman, former New York Mets player Keith Hernandez, who appears in print and TV ads for the business.

Einhorn started in the coin wholesaling industry as a dealer in 1974, and has applied the business practices from that industry to his jewelry stores, he said.

“We’re going to do higher volumes, less markup. That’s what I have done in coins and gold and silver, and it’s been very successful,” he said.

It’s the "same quality, same items, and … we have great customer service. The main thing is it’s a family business,” he said.

Ott manages the two jewelry stores with her brother, Jared Einhorn, while their father runs the coin stores.

“Things are going great so far. It’s a nice area to be in,” Jared Einhorn said of the new Huntington store.

About 20 employees work at all six stores, he said.
