WHAT'S GOOD Whether you were the school spelling bee champ or just want to improve your word skills, this is a fun way to challenge yourself. The setup is simple: In a TV studio format, complete with sound effects, a word appears on-screen and the player presses the "right" or "wrong" button to identify whether it is spelled correctly. The scoring system goes up to 1 million points after 15 correct answers. When you reach the 1,000 or 25,000 plateaus, you keep those points, even if you eventually answer wrong. Or, you can choose to leave the game with your current winnings if you are unsure how to spell a word. Some words seem deceptively easy, others might leave you in doubt, and a few you probably won't even know. When that occurs, a tap on the word will give you its definition. As you score points, you also accumulate diamonds, which can be used to purchase lifelines (poll the audience and extra time) or other versions of the game (Lightning, Expert and Kids). The game play can be addictive, especially as you try to make and then advance up the global leader board.

WHAT'S NOT Sometimes, the leader board does not reflect your current score and position, even after you submit the updated information; the game cannot be paused.

BOTTOM LINE Sharpening your smart skills can make you feel like a million bucks.
