The service was inaccessible from San Francisco and New York, among other areas. On Twitter Inc.’s service, “龜bookdown” was a trending topic in the United States, according to Twitter.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook,” Jay Nancarrow, a spokesman for Facebook said. “We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
