LOS ANGELES TIMES

Who needs yoga when watching a slide show of America's national parks induces a sense of serenity? Fotopedia turns 3,000 beautiful photos from professional photographer QT Luong into a slide show, travel tool and gift resource (prints are for sale).

The photos were shot with a large-format camera. It's easy to get lost in the elegance of the photography, but don't forget there are tools within the app to keep it interactive. Tap on the "i" to find out where the photo was taken and more information about the national park. Tap on the "walking man," and you can add it to your "trip" -- a collection of your favorite photos. If you are on the road, use your current location and the world map to view the photos as "pins" on a Google map.

We couldn't figure out how to download the photos for wallpaper as promised in the iTunes description. We found 20 free wallpapers that were available when we clicked on "interest" to get a print of a photo, but not the thousands of stunning photos within the app.
