Verint makes top 10 security list in China
Melville-based Verint Systems Inc., a maker of software to analyze audio and visual surveillance data, says it has been named to a list of Top 10 Foreign Security Brands in China.
The list was compiled by HC360, a business-to-business Web security provider in China, Verint said.
Verint made the list due to "the company’s brand strength and technology excellence in China’s highly competitive physical security market." Others on the list were American Dynamics and Honeywell.
Verint, in a news release, said the recognition "was the culmination of a complex, two-month process in which companies and their offerings were evaluated according to brand awareness, credibility and satisfaction."
In China, brand-name awareness of Verint's video intelligence systems is "extremely strong," the company said.
“We are committed to continuing to provide innovative solutions that help organizations in China and around the world improve security, and protect people, property and assets," Moshe Ashkenazi, general manager of Verint's Asia Pacific division, said.
On HC360's website, a Verint employee who accepted an award for the Top Ten listing, said in his acceptance speech (according to a Simplified Han-to-English translation by Google) "Thank you, colleagues. . . and thank you friends in the media and, finally, thank you HC. We have been doing homework, at least one thing we do is quite good, we have accounted for 50 percent of local employees. Thank you."
