Weill Cornell Medicine has opened a medical office in Southampton, its first location on the East End.

The 2 Montauk Hwy. facility offers primary care and reproductive medicine services, said Dr. Adam Stracher, chief medical officer and primary care director of the Weill Cornell Physician Organization.

The 4,000-square-foot location, which includes seven exam rooms, along with offices, a phlebotomy area and a patient lounge, opened in August, Stracher said. Weill Cornell plans to offer additional specialties at the facility as needed, potentially including dermatology and cardiology, he said.

The East End "is an area that we draw patients from already, and it’s become more of a year-round community," even before the COVID-19 pandemic, Stracher said. "That’s been an area that has been on our radar for a while, really for at least several years."

Weill Cornell’s reproductive medicine practice, which provides care for those experiencing infertility and other conditions, "draws from all over the metropolitan area and beyond," Stracher said.

Weill Cornell, a partner of New York-Presbyterian, also offers reproductive medical services in Garden City.

The Southampton facility is one of several new East End medical practices launched this year.

NYU Langone Health in July held a ribbon-cutting event for its new 3,500-square-foot Bridgehampton facility, which offers primary care and cardiology services. NYU Langone also has moved four of its existing practices to a nearly 14,000-square-foot facility in Riverhead that includes primary care and specialty services, including endocrinology, internal medicine and certain cancer care.
