Consumer Reports' worst used cars to buy in 2015

Consumer Reports' used cars recommendations cover a variety of vehicles they'd recommend to family and friends -- as well as ones to avoid at all costs. Here is a list of 28 different vehicles that described as the "worst of the worst" by the publication in terms of value, reliability and safety.

According to the publication, buying used the the best bang for your back as a new car depreciates more than 27 percent in the first year, and after three years it's worth less than half of the sticker price.

Consumer Reports says that these cars below "have multiple years of much-worse-than-average overall reliability, based on 2004 through 2013 models, according to our Annual Auto Survey." Each car had at least three model years of reliability data available for testing.
