Mercedes recalls M-Class SUVs
Mercedes has announced a recall that affects 136,751 sport utility vehicles in the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that German automaker's M-Class could have a faulty cruise control that does not disengage once the brake is pressed.
"Specifically, where the driver pumps the brakes rather than applying consistent pedal force, the level of force required may be unusually high," the NHTSA said on it website.
The recall affects M-Class SUVs built between 2000 and 2004.
Mercedes will repair the fault free of charge, the U.S. agency said.
