Real Rat Race 2011 starts in NYC in Sept.
Have you ever dreamed of being part of "The Cannonball Run" -- the 1981 classic movie featuring Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin and Jackie Chan racing across the United States in tricked out cars for glory and respect?
Or maybe you dreamed of finding the hidden briefcase filled with cash in 2001's "Rat Race"?
Well, dream no more!
In September, Rat Race 2011 will rev up in New York, as participants zigzag more than 3,000 miles across the country in a race to win a briefcase crammed with cash hidden in a secret location.
Drivers will be given a key to a locker somewhere on the West Coast. Problem is, it could be anywhere on the West Coast.
Their task is to crack the code given out at each morning's checkpoint and collect the five numeric codes that will match a ZIP code. The sixth clue will release the address of the ZIP code where the locker is.
But it's more than a game of speed and mind games. Racers must avoid getting arrested, speeding, getting lost or upsetting the locals. Each night racers reach a checkpoint, they will stay at a luxury hotel.
Think you have the driving, navigation and thinking skills to grab the cash?
