Eileen Devaney has been appointed to the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology. The Westbury resident is a director and speech and language pathologist with SEEDS of the Willistons in Williston Park.
Douglas J. Good has been appointed the chair of the judiciary committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. The Port Washington resident is a senior partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale, has been a member of the judiciary committee for several years and is a past president of the Nassau County Bar Association.
FINANCE
Kevin Gallagher, of Miller Place, has been named small business administration director for the northeastern division and national sales manager for Citi Commerical Bank, based in Uniondale. Before joining Citi he was vice president and commercial loan officer at New York Business Development Corp. in Melville.
Eric Hananel has joined Grassi & Co. in Jericho as a tax partner. The Roslyn resident formerly held a similar position at BDO USA in Melville.
HEALTH CARE
Joanne Newcombe has joined South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside as vice president of patient care services. The Massapequa Park resident formerly served as associate executive director for patient care services and chief nursing officer of the Stern Family Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation in Manhasset.
LAW
Michael A. Amoroso has joined Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in Hauppauge as an associate in the real estate, land use and zoning practice groups. He resides in Smithtown and was previously bureau chief of the Suffolk County Law Department's real estate and condemnation bureau in Hauppauge.
Gary Y. Wirth joined Moritt Hock & Hamroff in the Garden City office as a partner, where he will chair the firm's construction and surety practice group. He is a resident of Farmingdale and previously held a similar position at Kaufman Dolowich Voluck and Gonzo in Woodbury.
MARKETING
Bill Baylis, of Merrick, has joined Online Marketing Muscle, an Internet marketing, coaching and consulting company in Hauppauge, as chief operations officer. He is the former president and business-building and marketing team leader of Medical Account Solutions, a medical billing company based in Merrick.
NONPROFIT
Anne N. Brigis has been promoted to president and chief executive of YMCA of Long Island and works at the Glen Cove headquarters. The Sea Cliff resident was promoted from executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Sherri Glazer has been promoted to director of education services/principal for the Children's Center at United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk in Hauppauge. The Holbrook resident served as assistant principal for four years before her promotion.
REAL ESTATE
Jon Iavarone has joined the Syosset/Muttontown office of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty as a newly licensed salesperson. The Syosset resident was a student at Syosset High School.
