FINANCE
Gary Purwin has joined Grassi & Co., a Jericho-based accounting firm as partner. This is the result of a merger of Grassi & Co. and Pustorino, Puglisi & Co. of Manhattan, where Purwin was partner. He lives in Bronxville and will work from Grassi's Manhattan office.
Peter E. Kane has been named vice president, regional market producer for commercial lines at TD Insurance in Melville, a subsidiary of TD Bank. Kane, a resident of Port Washington, was a commercial producer at B&B Coverage in Valley Stream.
BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Marc Miller has been named to the board of directors of the Long Island Coaching Alliance, where he will serve as programs-education director. LICA is the local chapter of the International Coach Federation and provides support and resources to individuals and organizations regarding careers, life and working transitions, workplace issues, and relationships. Miller is a Plainview resident and president of MLM Coaching & Consulting, which provides life and executive leadership coaching.
John C. Tsunis has been elected vice chairman of the board of directors of the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association. He is chairman and chief executive of Long Island Hotels in Islandia, a partner at Tsunis Gasparis Lustig & Ring in Islandia, and chairman of the board of Gold Coast Bank, also in Islandia. Tsunis lives in Poquott.
HEALTH CARE
Danielle Tanzi has joined New Life Chiropractic, where she will provide psychotherapy counseling at the practice's Smithtown and Lake Grove offices. She lives in Holtsville and spent 11 years as a social worker for Hicksville and New York City public schools.
Dr. Joi Marszalek has been named medical director at the Hospice Inn in Melville. Before this appointment, she was an attending physician at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center in West Islip. Marszalek is an Amityville resident.
Joseph Burke has been named vice president of engineering and facilities at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He owned and operated KP Professional Engineering, which specialized in hospitals and health care facilities on Long Island. Burke is a resident of Lindenhurst.
NONPROFIT
The Rev. Deborah Guest has been named chief spiritual adviser at the Long Island Men's Center. The LIMC is an Amityville-based organization that helps men access health and human services, education, and social, cultural and economic resources. The Bay Shore resident is founder of From the Pulpit to the Pew in Amityville.
TECHNOLOGY
Robin Fenske has been named dispatch coordinator at Delta Computer Group in Farmingdale, a provider of information technology and support services. The Centereach resident was most recently a charter representative with Classic Coach in Bohemia.
