Katherine A. Heptig has been appointed to the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences dean's advisory board. The Rockville Centre resident is a corporate associate in the tax law practice at Uniondale law firm Farrell Fritz.
James Rogan has been appointed chairman of the New York State Education Department's School Bus Driver Instructor Advisory Committee. The upstate Port Jervis resident is the director of safety and training for Educational Bus Transportation Inc., in Copiague.
The Estate Planning Council of Nassau County in Mineola has appointed three members to its executive board. James T. Peluso, a Melville resident, is a certified trust and financial adviser and registered principal with Raymond James Financial Services in Melville. Francis L. Riviezzo, a Huntington resident, is a certified public accountant and partner at Frank Riviezzo & Co. in Manhattan. Ilene D. Samuel, a Woodbury resident, is of counsel at law firm L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini in Garden City.

Dennis J. Sheridan has been named group director and senior vice president at Signature Bank in Manhattan. The Garden City Park resident was most recently a vice president, branch sales manager and mortgage loan originator at a Manhattan branch of Valley National Bank.
HEALTH CARE
Dr. Lawrence Magras has joined Catholic Health Services as medical director for the new CHS Physician Hospital Organization in Melville, and will also serve as vice president and assistant medical director for clinical effectiveness, care coordination and physician integration for CHS's department of care management. The Sea Cliff resident was most recently an assistant vice president of medical operations and clinical effectiveness at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in Connecticut.

Timothy Kilgannon has joined Kilgannon & Kilgannon of Mineola as partner. The Hempstead resident most recently worked at Rossi & Crowley in Douglaston, Queens, as an associate.
