50 Cent’s former Dix Hills property listed for $1.3M

The Dix Hills property formerly owned by rapper 50 Cent is on the market for $1.3 million.

The asking price comes with plans to build a 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, six-bathroom Postmodern on the vacant, nearly 1-acre piece of land, where the musician’s former home burned down in 2008. Property records show that Curtis Jackson, 50 Cent’s real name, sold the hilltop property for $365,000. He bought the house in 2007 for $1.4 million.

His son and his son’s mother escaped the burning 5,200-square-foot Colonial with six bedrooms and five bathrooms, which had to be torn down. There also had been a pool and a three-car heated garage with a dumbwaiter to the kitchen.

There is still a radiant-heated driveway, according to the listing with Frank Mann of Charles Rutenberg Realty. The home to be built will have two fireplaces, a master suite with his and her bathrooms and high-end appliances, the listing says.

“Just the foundation has been built,” says Mann, who adds that the home is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

Jackson was ordered last week to bankruptcy court in Connecticut after he posted photos of himself on Instagram with wads of cash, raising questions about his finances, according to news reports.
