Actor Paul Giamatti films at Port Washington home for sale

The producers of "Win Win" have turned a white 1913 Port Washington Colonial on the market into a law office for the upcoming film.
Actor Paul Giamatti plays a struggling attorney in the movie, which is also taping at such North Shore locations as the Port Washington Long Island Rail Road station and Locust Valley High School. Other locales have included St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Rockville Centre and Lawrence High School.
The production company leased the three-bedroom, two-bath house for six to eight weeks, a Daniel Gale spokeswoman says. The home is a short sale listed for $589,000. Annual taxes are $10,975.
Listing agent Lynn Hehn of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty says the filmmakers are using only the first floor and the basement of the house, which is on a 50-by-100-foot property. The kitchen was ripped out for the shoot, which came as a surprise to one potential buyer.
"The poor guy looked at the house and he came back and [the kitchen] was gone," Hehn says.
She told the man not to worry: "They will restore everything."
