Why it’s for sale Keri, 42, a retired funeral director, and her husband, Fred, 41, who works for Suffolk County, say they’re relocating to a warmer climate.
The Ergenzingers’ home, which they’ve owned since 2005, is 2,100 square feet and has an attractive West Coast flair. Keri shares:
“We love the entertaining space here, both indoors and outdoors. We have an open-concept layout, which is great for family gatherings. One living area is in the front of the house and the other is in the back, off the kitchen. That one has a large stone fireplace. . . . All the windows and sliding glass doors are Andersen. It’s very bright and airy. One slider leads to the backyard off the master bedroom and the other is off the back living area. . . . The backyard is great for entertaining during almost three seasons. We added a large, 32-by-20-foot Trex deck. That’s in addition to the Trex decking around the semi-inground pool (which has a new gas heater and filter). There’s a retractable awning that covers a large portion of the deck. We have a full-house generator. A large part of the basement — 22 by 33 feet — is finished and has eight-foot ceilings. . . . The neighborhood is very quiet because it’s on a private cul-de-sac. I’m going to miss how close this house is to parks and beaches.”
